I've completed the compilation of all posts from Jan 16 to Feb 9, 1998. They are the new Archives 1 to 4. They have been slightly edited to make more sense.

There are inconsistencies in Archive 8; please refer to the timeline for clarification.

One Man's Dream

The introduction to the Tales of Midgar, centering around the battle between AVALANCHE and Shinra.

    AVALANCHE attacks Sector 3 and fails! New security in the Shinra headquarters. Azeral discovers his family... and they reject him.

    AVALANCHE has failed its attack on Sector 3's reactor! Azeral must rescue Vixen (Sarah) from Reactor 3! Jarian and Lauren escape!

    AVALANCHE needs to get Wedge back! Will they attack the Shinra Tower right during the SOLDIER news conference? A curfew is enforced in Midgar. Azeral finds his true self in the Lifestream.

    Trapped!!! AVALANCHE is arrested before their attack on the Shinra Tower, and they are locked in the Shinra cells. They have to find a way to get out, quickly. Cloud loses a hand, Aeris gets in on the action... and more. (This is a rather exciting archive!)

    Includes the "Black 36" tapes. Jairen and Lars fight. AVALANCHE breaks out of the tower. Azeral is brainwashed. AVALANCHE is accused of stealing Black 36, and a gigantic bounty is placed on their heads. (Warning: This archive is a literal mess.)

    Jiro makes his return. The respects are paid to Reno. Vixen is arretsed by Shinra, and they find out she's pregnant. Turi finds out more about Neo. Turi finds out that he loves Korrine. AVALANCHE retires to Zep's bar. Cloud wakes from his coma. Elleen finds out who her real parents are.

    The attack on Zep's bar. Azeral fights Sephiroth to rescue Vixen. Vixen's child is prophezised to be Jenova's offspring. Tyr betrays Shinra and releases Rio. The fire in Sector 1's Theatre catches Tyr, Jiro, and Aeris. Red XIII joins Rio.

    Azeral begins to regain his memory. Jiro and Tyr must stop the fire of Sector 1. Chello is wanted by Shinra.

    Azeral and Vixen are in Sector 1 when a riot breaks out. Chello begins to change form. Ferna adopts a pet Behemoth. Vlad, one of the "Seven Sons of Jenova", attacks Elleen and she uses Holy magic to protect herself.

    Fire's conclusion. Ferna meets up with Rasten. Ethan, Matrim, and Chello. Darman is killed. Introduction of Luca and Alexander. Ariana Shinra, a very obnoxious arrogant woman (and the vice-President) arrives in Midgar. Zep and AVALANCHE meet up with Jiro. Introduction to Zerahs, the Dark Templar.

    Rasten, Seth, Flinggorian, Ferna, among others. The Maurauders, a rebel group, make their move. Barret plans to rescue Wedge at the Stadium. Chello finds Vixen inside her house, and Vixen begins to turn int oa true anthropormorphic fox. Ideas to neutralize Black 36 are made. SOLDIER Gamma transports Black 36 for release in Sector 5's reactor. Azeral sneaks aboard the Highwind to see the Nexus, an ancient evil artifact.

    The Marauders break into Shinra HQ. AVALANCHE hits Reactor 5. Turi reveals his monstrous Limit Break.

    Matrim, Karin, Ethan, and co. break into Don Corneo's to rescue Diana. Ariana finds a Cetra at Gold Saucer. Introduction of Mariana.

    Jiro is found, injured, by Mariana. Tyr begins to doubt Shinra. AVALANCHE stops Black 36. Shinra releases false footage. The airship Darkgod is stolen from Shinra. Cid joins the Marauders.

    Janus is thrown in jail. The Attack at the Sector 1 Stadium begins. The conclusion of Chapter 1.
