Cera: Background and History

In his early childhood he often went to the Sleeping forest. During his time in the forest he developed a liking for the nature and found what he thinks is the most beautiful flower he has ever seen, the black Mauthea. He got a tattoo of it, on the back of his right hand, when he was in Junon doing some mercenary work.
He also went to the Lost City. When he was there he got his first grip of what the Cetra was. He became very fond of the Cetra and wanted to learn more about them. It was also in this city he found the crown he now is wearing.

When he grew up he traveled with his father and his sister around the world to learn more about the planet and the Cetra. At first he studied mostly in Cosmo Canyon but then he studied martial arts and sword-fighting in Wutai.
During the Wutai war he saw his parents and his sister being killed. While his parents bodies were found and transported to Bone Village to be buried in the graveyard at the brim of the great forest, the body of his sister disappeared. After the burial of his parents he began traveling again. Despite his young age he worked as a mercenary. He explored as much as he could in two years and gained much knowledge about many places.
Then one time when he got to a little town named Corel, he had been there many times before due to his job as a mercenary and the fact that it was the only way to get to the Golden Saucer, the town was on fire and Shinra-soldiers were all over the place. They captured him and took him away to a laboratory somewhere in Junon. He was used to test a new close-range-weapon. The weapon consisted of blades which were put in a metal-plate implanted on each fore-arm. The blades can be shot out as arrows at any opponent or be used in close-combat. He still got those metal-plates on his arms and has trained himself well and has become very skilled with them, both in shooting them accurately and in close-combat. Shinra also infused him with mako. A strange effect of the infusion of mako in Cera was that his eyes began glowing red instead of his normal green color, they don't know why this happened though. Shinra had also plans to brainwash him, but when he was put in the machine their computer-system crashed and in the turmoil that occurred, he managed to escape from the labs.

He continued his travels across the world to learn about the cetra, the planet and to fine tune his fighting skills now that he had a new weapon.
