(Etc): 27003214/none/none Other notes: --- Character Quick Reference (Keep these fields short.) **Name: Khali Yulices (Kall-ee You-liss-iss) **Age: 20 **Occupation: Hojo's right-hand woman **General Appearance: A physically fit female, with an emotionless face. **Personality: Seems cold to anyone that doesn't know her. Oft-times untrusting to those who haven't proven their worth to her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Character Information ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -Name: Khali Yulices (Kall-ee You-liss-iss) (Note: This name is simply a name she uses, and may not be her real one) -Age: 20 -Race: Human, injected with cells of Red XIII -Birthday: August 27 -Gender: Female -Height: 5'8" -Weight: 130 lbs. -Hair (color and style): Shiny fire-red, normally put up into a bun with bangs on her forehead. -Eyes: Emerald green - while many people are capable of looking into one's eyes and finding a weakness, she has learned to hide her true character from showing through her eyes. Her eyes ring with the same coldness that she does. -Complexion: Tanned -Voice: Clear. What her face and eyes fail to show, her voice makes up for. While most of the time she speaks in a monotone and mellow voice, she has no problem with using her voice to get a point across. -Build: Fairly strong, but her arm and leg muscles don't quite show unless she uses them. Her stomach is toned very well, and her abdominal muscles show. -Facial Features: A thin band of fire-red eyebrows that she plucks often, but no other facial hair due to electrolysis. She has thin lips that are a brighter red than most, due to her fixed DNA structure. -Identifying Marks: A scar in the shape of a crucifix in between her spine and right shoulder blade. A tattoo of a flame with underlying shades of green and blue over her spinal chord and just above her rear. -Dress/Clothing/Jewelry: While her garments change with each mission, based on what cultures she has to infiltrate, the normal attire she prefers to wear is a pair of black leather pants with a white tank top tucked into them. A metal chain works as a belt, and she sometimes wears a black leather jacket or vest with light pieces of armor linked into them over her tank top. Black boots that stretch about 5 inches from her ankles up her legs finish her wardrobe, to give her better stability. -General Appearance: Some would call her beautiful, but in a tough kind of way - not that she looks like a guy, but she just doesn't let herself look too much like a "normal" woman when she can help it. Her calm and cold looks, coupled with her eyes' seeming emptiness, give off an eerie feeling. Her smile, if she ever smiles, is warm and re-assuring. ~~ -Occupation: Hojo's right-hand woman, his defender, and the pilot of the Durahan -Secondary Skills: Stealth expert, computer hacking, the capability and skill to use most types of firearm and demolition weapons, acrobatics, Mecha piloting and warfare, as well as driving most normal vehicles. -Extra abilities: Has heightened speed and overall dexterity far above normal limits due to her DNA structure, knowledge of and capability to use Materia, tactical imagination -Hobbies: Unknown ~~ -Personality: Khali is as grim and serious as they come. Though compassion has not been totally squeezed out of her, she is still callous towards her allies, cold-blooded to her enemies, and almost suicidally careless of her own life. While she seldom speaks in the company of others, she usually gets right to the point when she chooses to. She gives little respect and refuses to trust those who haven't proven their worth to her, in one form or another. ~~ -Background: Khali was born in Gongaga. Her life was quiet, as growing up in such a small village is bound to be. The appearance of Shinra raised the liveliness of the village for a time, as the people were offered new work at the reactor among other things. Around this time the eerie Professor Hojo began to come around the village with a squad of soldiers, looking at the children of the village for "potential Shinra recruits". The children didn't mind his company, despite his eerie personality, because he often had assigned members of the squad take the children to the Golden Saucer to play games - a nice break from the rural atmosphere of Gongaga. Hojo was not looking for potential Shinra recruits, however. He knew that one day President Shinra was either going to tire of him or die, at which time Rufus would take the seat of power. Hojo knew that Rufus did not like him, and knew that he would be disposed of when that day came. His visits to Gongaga were to secure his survival rather than benefit Shinra. At 13, circa 1996, the Gongaga Reactor blew. Mako energy leaked, and the shrapnel of the explosion injured many people in the area. Hojo again made his way into Gongaga, nabbing some of the children that had showed promise as well as any of the people caught in the blast. The chaos that had followed the blast turned out to be the perfect cover. During the next year, the children were put through numerous tests that measured their mental and physical capabilities. The adults that Hojo had nabbed were used for his deranged experiments, and any of the children that didn't prove their worth through the tests met a likewise fate. Eventually he narrowed it down to 4 kids, and in the month that followed they either tried to escape or died from the rigorous testing. Khali never tried to escape - she had learned her lesson when the first kid that tried had become an "example". In the next seven years, Hojo would teach Khali everything that she would need to know in order to protect and serve him. While he was most often busy designing and smuggling the needed materials to build the Durahan, special programs that he had designed were used to teach and train her. He also took the time, upon her selection, to inject the cells of Red XIII into her, changing her DNA structure and thus adding new abilities. She gained the natural speed, dexterity, and grace of the feline, but also gained the animal's hair genes. Her hair began to grow faster, and turned fire-red in appearance. ~~ -Affiliation/Organization: Professor Hojo -Reputation with various groups: Only a few people have seen and known her for what she truly is, and besides Professor Hojo and the people that work with him, none have lived to tell about it. ~~ -Mother: Name unknown; believed to be still alive -Father: Name unknown; believed to have died in the reactor explosion -Siblings: Unknown -Mate: None -Children: None -Pets: None -Birthplace: Gongaga -Current Residence: Professor Hojo's secret laboratory ~~ -Weapons: A vibrodagger (A vibroblade is a creation of Professor Hojo's. They're razor-sharp, microfine blades that seem to vibrate. They work so quickly and cut so deeply that they don't actually cause pain until a few seconds after the wound is opened) and two Model 10 semi-automatic Pistols loaded with armor-piercing ammo. Should she ask Hojo, however, she can acquire most weapons she needs. -Armor: A light amount of kevlar lines her black leather pants, and the jacket or vest that she sometimes wears are lined with kevlar. Assigned clothes she receives for missions often have small amounts of kevlar laced into the material, to suck up most of the impact of a bullet's explosion. -Materia: An orb of fire materia -Other items: She lost her right arm on a mission, and Hojo was forced to operate. His solution was something he calls an Enhancer. It's a cybernetic limb designed to mimic regular limbs, but with an added bonus or two. Synthetic skin covers the lightweight metal, and they perfectly mimic the functions of a normal limb - though without a pulse and a cooler body temperature. While they permit a certain amount of sensation, they can no longer recognize simple textures as they once could. An Enhancer can, when necessary, boost natural strength substantially. Khali is careful when using this ability, however, since the strength is only in the limb and not the tissue and muscle in the shoulder. ~~ -Other notes: Khali pilots the Durahan, a large mech that was designed by Hojo and built by his men. She uses it in most missions she goes on, and if she is forced to get out of it she can control it via a control panel she has. Name: Durahan Type: Two legs Height: 35' Weight: 9.2 tons Material: Mako-enhanced Titanium Power Source: Stable Mako Reactor Core Colors: Mostly black and red, but the legs are totally white. Armaments: 1. "Boom Gun": The "Boom Gun", as Khali calls it, is a giant hand-held gun, with a bullet chain attaching to a shielded ammo drum on the Durahan's back. The "Boom Gun" shoots a Mako-powered flachette-style round (sort of like the buckshot of a shotgun) at a speed of roughly Mach 2. The bullets create a large sonic boom as they pass, which lead to deafness for an indeterminate amount of time. In addition to the sonic boom, the rounds fired are generally very lethal to their targets. The downside, however, is that the needed force to fire the rounds takes time to build and often throws the Durahan off balance for a few moments. Hence, the "Boom Gun" cannot be fired in rapid-succession. When not in use, the "Boom Gun" is made to fit snugly next to its ammo-can. 2. Vibroswords: Two giant-sized versions of Hojo's creation lie within both forearms. When needed, the blades shoot out of their housings (somewhat like Wolverine's claws - not completely out). This makes for some fearsome close-combat weapons, and they were put in both arms for slice'n'dice action. 3. Left Forearm-Mounted Double-Barreled Mako Beam Cannon: This cannon fires a beam of heated Mako energy at the targets. As the name would imply, this weapon is rather lethal and is capable of melting most materials without a long exposure to the ray. The drain this weapon has is extraordinary, however, and too many long blasts risk overheating the system. It can cause Mako poisoning to a surviving human target, but is otherwise harmless to the environment. 4. Missile (12): On the outsides of the legs, just below the knee-joint, lies two missile compartments. Six missiles reside in each, and can be fired at will - the launchers have 360-degree rotation capability. The pilot can lock-on two targets at once, and the launchers will rotate and adjust to wind speeds and altitudes. When calculated, the missiles launch. While just normal explosives, the missile warheads have a "brain" and attempt to out-maneuver obstacles and the enemy rather than just follow blindly. 5. Hyper Jammer: Nothing more than a radar jammer, housed in the head. 6. Jets: The bottom of the feet, back of the legs, and areas of the lower back all have small jets in them that allow for full flight capability. It gives the Durahan better mobility in times of need, as well as extra speed. Each jet can move in a 180-degree radius and work separately, giving the pilot extreme control over speed and movement. The Durahan is large and menacing, and carries weapons of destruction. But it is also one of the last items of power in Hojo's possessions, and is nearly the last line of defense he has against Shinra and Midgar. While the metal used to make the Durahan is tough indeed, it is far from indestructible. Normal weapons have little effect on it: A squad of SOLDIER with a bunch of revolvers are going to do little more than put minor dents in its armor and make Khali angry. But Junon's cannon and larger weapons will definitely be able to harm it - which is why Khali attempts to keep it hidden when she can. If Shinra or Midgar do not know about Hojo's secret weapon, they can't create anything to best it in combat.
