and his clothes are simple. He wears loose black trousers, a black shirt, and 
black boots, with a black headband and a dark blue cloak. On his left hand he 
wears a ring, which was given to him by his older brother. 

General Appearance: Tall, slim and broad shouldered. Pale skin, wavy black hair 
and green eyes. Wears a dark blue cloak, black clothing, and a red ring on his 
left hand. Has a small scar below his eyebrow. He carries his sword with him at 
all times.

-Secondary Skills: Although he is young, Kane is a first class swordfighter, having been trained by his brother who, at one point, worked for Shinra. He can also use some basic magic

-Extra abilities: Kane once worked alongside a thief who taught him who to pick locks and to creep about unnoticed. Both abilities have served him well.

-Hobbies: Sword fighting, helping others

-Personality: Kane is kind and totally loyal to his friends, but he's wary of 
being hurt and so does not trust easily. He is quiet and thoughtful but comes 
across as being distant. Because of this, people usually find it difficult to 
approach him and are generally scared of him. He prefers being alone rather than 
in a group and does not go out of his way to make friends. When he wants to be, 
he can be both manipulating and aggressive.

-Background: Kane did not have the best start in life. He was born in Midgar, in 
the Sector 2 slums, to a very poor family. His father was a drunk and his mother 
died during childbirth. Kane's older brother did his best to shield him, but for 
reasons unknown Kane was still the target for his fathers anger. His brother had 
worked for the Shinra at one point and taught Kane many skills including sword 
fighting. 
 Kane left home at fifteen, unable to cope with his father's daily abuse, and 
travelled from town to town, working as a hired mercenary. After two years he 
headed back home, only to find that his dad had become worse and that his 
brother had disappeared. From then on, Kane's only mission was to find out what 
had happened to his brother.
 After going through his brother's diary, Kane discovered that his brother had 
become mixed up in some work of Professor Hojo's just before he had disappeared. 
He left no other clues to his disappearance. However, Kane believes that Hojo 
was some way involved.
 For the next two years, Kane travelled the world in search of information about 
Hojo or his brother. Finally, his search leads him back to Midgar.
